"It's hard to be big, when little has got you". - T.D. Jakes
There are many reasons why new entrepreneurs fail in their new business endeavours. Lack of capital, no connections, quitting to early, and not working hard enough, are all well know reasons why many new entrepreneurs do not make it. One reason that is grossly over looked is an entrepreneur not doing the necessary mental reprogramming needed to make it as CEO. Most new entrepreneurs do not come from an affluent family, or from the upper echelons of society. Most new entrepreneurs come from lower middle class, or poor beginnings, which is out of their control and is okay. The problem with that is, growing up in these circumstances we develop a certain way of thinkin, which is contradictory to what we want to do as buiness owners. Most people who come from these areas are trained to think small, play it safe, and not to take risks or chances. On the flip side, people who are successful are there for a reason. People who are successful think big, want more, and take calculated risks. In order to be successful as an entrepreneur, who starts out in very humble beginnings, you have to do daily inventory of your thoughts. You have to always be operating on the mind set of an entrepreneurs, and CEO. Your success as a business owner, and your employees, depend upon it.

"You become what you believe" - Oprah
Most people live their lives never knowing what they were put on this Earth to do. They get tossed to and fro by what other people have in store for them, or by what other people envision them doing. Before they know it they have just been existing in this world, unfruitful, unhappy, and then their spark is put out. They never got to realize that their life turned out how it did only because they believed what everyone else said about them, and that became their reality. When you are able to create your own destiny, and create your own future and reality the opposite will happen. People will begin to believe what you believe about yourself. The power will reside in you, and what ever you believe about yourself will become your reality. No longer will your existence be unfruitful or unhappy, but it all starts with what you believe about yourself.

"Yesterdays home run does nothing for todays game". G. Richards, Jr.
In order to achieve any level of success, one thing you must be able to do is get control of your emotions. Most people put an emphasis on controlling their emotions when things go bad, but what most people tend to over look is learning how to control their emotions when things go good. It is very easy to become complacent after we have worked hard to achieve a goal. The tendency is to put a focus on that achievement for a long period of time, but that is no time to slow down and rest on your laurels. Once you have achieved a goal, you then must put it to bed and put your attention and focus on the next goal. Life is to short so don't waste time focusing on what you did yesterday.

"Playing it safe will get you no where. You have to be willing to go after something that is bigger than you."- G. Richards, Jr
Times are harder now then they have been in the last few decades. No longer is it acceptable for people to just be good enough, and survival of the un-fittest just won't cut it. At this time in history it is only survival of the fittest, and those who are unable to keep up will end up becoming someone else's lunch. In order to be able to keep moving forward and evolving, you must be willing to throw caution to the wind and go after the big score. The world only remembers the names of those who go after something that is, at the time, bigger then they are. Allen Iverson is who he is because when he stepped onto the basketball court against Michael Jordan, he went after him without fear. That's why Martin Luther King is world renowned, because he decided to take on racism against black people. Mark Zukerberg taking on the task of creating a better social networking platform then Myspace, is why he is America's youngest billionaire. History is littered with stories of people who had the gaul to take on others, or a task, that was bigger then they were. You have to be honest and ask yourself if you have the wherewithal to go after something that is bigger then you, or are you going to keep wrestling with your childhood fears? Are you going to play it safe, or will you step up and meet your challenge head on? Remember in life, the only person that can stop you, is you.
"You have no one to blame for how your life turns out but yourself" - G. Richards, Jr.
Life all boils down to decisions and choices. Where we end up in life all started with a choice we made earlier in life. If we are unsatisfied with the current conditions in life, and if we feel we have not done enough in life, it started with our decision to not work hard enough. Those who will not accept less than what they in vision for themselves, usually end up living happier lives. They made a decision that regardless of what happens they will work hard to achieve what they want. I know its easy to place the blame on our parents, our environment, or our job, for where we are in life. The only problem with that is the fact that neither our parents, our environment, or our jobs assumed the responsibility of ensuring our happiness. They all have a role to play in our life, but neither one of these factors asked to take on the task of making you happy. You want more money, go and get it. You want a better career, go and get it. You want to have a better body and be in shape, go and get it. If you are looking for someone to blame for your unhappiness and discontent with life, look at the man in the mirror.
